Therapeutic Approach

EMDR Therapy &
Clinical Counselling

I believe therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and tailored to you. Whether you are seeking support for trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, or personal growth, your therapeutic journey should reflect your unique history, strengths, and goals.

The sections are: a plant icon with "Registered Clinical Counsellor," an eye icon with "EMDR & EMDR 2.0," two people icon with "Individual & Couples Counselling," and a hand holding a plant icon with "Personalized, Evidence-Based Care."

Therapy should feel human, collaborate
and tailored to you.

My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity and respect.
We will work together to understand what matters most and build on your strengths.

EMDR Therapy for Trauma &
Distressing Experiences

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Uses bilateral stimulation to help your brain reprocess overwhelming memories, so they feel less intense and easier to carry.

EMDR therapy can be effective for:

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Anxiety and panic disorders

  • Phobias

  • Grief and loss

  • Negative self-beliefs and low self-esteem

  • Performance anxiety

  • Stress related to past and future experiences

What Is the Difference Between Counselling and Clinical Counselling?

An Integrative and Personalized Approach to Therapy

At NuVue Counselling, I do not believe in a “one-size-fits-all” model of therapy. Whether you are seeking individual counselling or couples counselling, your treatment plan will be thoughtfully tailored to your needs.

Therapy may begin with one approach and gently integrate others as your goals evolve. Together, we will create a personalized plan aligned with your comfort level, readiness for change, and long-term well-being.
